PROGRAM
The Golfer Give Back Program is an initiative that partners with a school within the state each year, using golf to positively impact a specific aspect of the school or local community. In 2024, Creekside Elementary School in Sun Prairie was selected as the partner. As part of the collaboration, the Golf Foundation of Wisconsin (GFW) contributed to the school’s food bank by purchasing a food cooler, which aids in supporting less fortunate members of the community. In addition, the GFW sponsored a special golf clinic for over 65 third graders at Creekside, providing them an opportunity to experience golf. One lucky participant was awarded a scholarship to join the Junior Golf Program at TPC Wisconsin, a summer program aimed at fostering young golfers.
The program’s impact is wide-reaching and can extend to a variety of initiatives. For example, it can assist schools in establishing golf programs, donate supplies to food banks, or support other school needs, all while introducing students to the sport of golf. The overarching goal is to use golf to make a positive, long-term impact on participants' lives and foster an interest in the game, offering them opportunities that may benefit them in various personal and professional ways.
